The Tournament

Off we went today in brilliant unforecasted sunshine to Linlithgow Palace to see the jousting. Small boys, horses, knights, swords, archers. They had a blast. Good show was put on and plenty of opportunities to try out the new toy, a Canon 50D.

What a great camera to use, never had time to read the manual but it's really intuitive after using Canons for a good few years. I used to shoot with a Canon EOS 5 in the film days, feels like I've got the old girl back with a cheat for unlimited ammo. I know the camera doesn't make the shot, but it's really nice to have a bit of kit equivalent to what I used to run film through.
