Normal Service Restored

It has been a long hot dry summer. I'm reassured to see a dark, rainy, gritty urban day today. More rain is forecast for Friday. Fine by me. 

A day of errands. Nothing much to show for myself today, and the world gives me deep grief. Missouri executed an innocent man. In Lebanon, Israel executed 500 people, while Gaza is mostly rubble and suffering, and a hurricane is headed for Florida. 

But at least in Oregon, it's raining again.
