Charles Rennie MacIntosh

Such a good name for this rose which has the same shape as MacIntosh's signature rose. It has a complicated petal formation but I am pleased to see that there is a way into the centre for the bees.

Cooler today, with plenty of cloud which meant I stayed in the garden for much of the morning. During the week I was driven indoors by 10.30!

Our son is flying to Melbourne this evening for a week of meetings. I wonder what the midwinter weather is like in the south of Australia.
