Cave street
When I started out, I wasn’t sure this was going to be a great day. The road in to Setenil was a bit bland and Setenil is, of course, a tourist hub - although I was very keen to see the cave streets myself and it was amazing (extra).
However, it was in leaving Sentenil that the vistas just kept on coming. There was nothing too arduous (although the hill did go on and then I added an extra detour to a 9th and 8th century BC settlement (which was worth it, thankfully!))
It was a lovely temperature and the olive groves were a picture but it was this view of finished crop fields that took me aback and I don’t know that my photo really does it justice so you’ll have to believe me!
As the road started tipping downhill, I had the company of about two hundred soaring vultures which was incredible.
(We won’t mention that hill back up to Ronda!)
