Turner in Italy (II)

Warm, moist with very occasional shower. People are going crazy for funghi. A guy came up the track and then up a forest run in his brand new tractor. I sauntered out twice myself. This is the first time I have found porcini in abundance (see extras).

It is easy to get carried away but the bigger porcini have a lot of tiny worms in them. On the other hand, the porcini actually develops that distinct taste and smell when dried.
