Recce.

That purple grey smudge on the very furthest horizon is the highest point in mid-Wales (allegedly).  It is just over half way across Wales if walking from England to the Welsh coast.  Who on earth would want to do that in a day?  Not us, but recce-ing the route's stages makes for some some lightly used but very scenic walks.
