Grief is the price we pay for love

Yesterday evening I watched Jackie Kay present her life story on iplayer.  She’s an amazing woman and former Makar, Scottish poet laureate.  I think Ann might have been watching over my shoulder. ‘Grief is the price we pay for love’ was something Jackie said which made me think about not losing our capacity for love, even though it might bring with it pain when we lose someone we care about.

Yesterday was the day when my car wouldn’t start and when I’ve felt the affect of eating late breakfast, mid afternoon lunch. When I eventually got to eat my evening Lasagne I appeared to have no post eating effects!  I wish I knew what was going on.

Car now in yard waiting for replacement battery. I’m not quite sure when they’ll come so it’s bound to affect my plans today. He was with me by 9.30 am, so I was able to go to Pilates.  I always feel much better after the session, even if tired.  It seems to clear my head - there’s a lesson here for me.

A bit of creative playing before I went to sleep using Procreate on my iPad following a nudge from Jose not to stop doing creative things.
