Mom’s 87th Birthday

Mom was, bizarrely, excited about her birthday and thankfully it filled with lovely things.
Stewart popped in, in the morning and mom opened all her cards from church and family and friends. Eon arrived about 11and took mom out for lunch to Grassington - The Retreat.
I arrived about 4:30 (after work) and took Stewart and mom out for dinner (after she’d talked to somebody on the phone) to The Fountain at Linton.
She ate so well!
Once we’d finished our meal, the waitress brought mom’s cake though, announced it to the room and everyone sang ‘Happy Birthday’.
While we were out, Cathie walked the dogs and sat a helium balloon in the doorway to welcome mom back home.
Back home at mom’s, we (she and I) had a cup of tea and mom returned Emily and the boys call and we had a tour of their new house.
It was then time for me to leave and let mom ‘come back down again and go to bed.
She’d had a good day. :D
