TOO-WOO LOVELY ENCOUNTERS

I was lucky to catch a photo of this short-eared owl landing (first extra) a long way across the fields and then home in on it with the camera on full zoom. I was on my way home from a walk round RSPB Saltholme with lapsed blipper GailyWhaley. It's been far too long and it was lovely to catch up with her. We finished in the café, of course, where I could only get her reflection in the window (second extra). The car park was full of film company vans and entourage, although they didn't seem to be filming in the reserve itself. I must try to find out what that was all about.
