Padstow

A cloudy grey day.  We had a walk around Lostwithiel photographing the historic buildings before heading for breakfast at a favourite small cafe.  It does very good food and we arrived just after a large group of young women also arrived.  Fortunately there was room for all and they had mainly drinks so it wasn't a long wait for food.

After this we drove to Padstow which I hadn't visited before.  It wasn't what I had expected and appears very commercialised.   I thought it was busy but my husband who had passed through it on a previous bike ride a few years ago said it wasn't.  We went for a walk to a nearby beach, see extra before travelling back home.  We had a quick stop in Exeter to pick up a present for my daughter who we are visiting in a few days time.

It's been a lovely short break and although we had a lot on rain on the first day it hasn't been that bad subsequently.  It does feel a lot colder today though.  Summer seems to have ended.
