I sent the flying camera up over the Links Street area of Kirkcaldy this afternoon to take a few shots for comparison with a couple of old photographs I found online. The extra is an aerial shot taken in 1929 which shows the Links Brick, Tile and Pottery Works in the centre of the image. There is nothing left of the works now and much of the area has changed but the main roads can still be identified in both pictures. My camera position today wasn't as accurate as it could be because I was working from memory. I'll go back agin with a reference photo but because of the 120m UK height limit for drones I won't be able to exactly replicate the 1929 view.
