Just One Look
She flew past at a pace having been harassed by rooks all the way after trying to hunt over our field.
She came back as she always does but I did feel sorry that she hadn't caught anything for a while.
I hot-footed it as soon as I saw the deer in the field to my tent, not having realised that in trainers I was going to get soaked. The deer decided to have an after lunch nap so I left them to it, had a sandwich and changed into sensible footwear. Thank goodness for my kestrel.
Met up with an old friend this morning for coffee after having done what I would call a damage limitation walk with Millie for half an hour beforehand. We walked again when I got back just to try and limit 'the bounce'. She is like Tigger in Winnie the Pooh but much worse.
