Way (not) to spend a Monday

When Oli & I got home from our morning walk, C was in the shower with a bleeding nose. It started bleeding while he brushed his teeth and didn't show any sign of stopping. At about 11:00 I called 111, who sent an ambulance. Paramedics arrived at about 12:30 and they could also not stop the bleeding. Off to the hospital, where he waited for an hour in the ambulance, before having a seat at A&E. The paramedics devised a nose clip with two tongue spatulas and tape - to give the poor trainee a break from pinching C's nose.

We saw a doctor  at 15:15 who said these things happen and send the blood still in him off for tests. At 16:30 he got the blood test results  - nothing to declare - and then had to wait an hour for a nurse to take out the cannula (doctors call put it in, but not take it out)

We had a glass of wine (each) when we got home. 

Now he has a pain in his neck from sitting bend over a bucket bleeding for five hours.
