Surreal

A busy day in the garden, planting a tree to replace the large one which was removed recently.
It's a tulip tree, not a favourite of mine, but other people love them and they're very fast growing.

My subject is one of the many cicadas which I only noticed today.
Surprisingly, they're silent, so I hadn't been alerted by the customary deafening noise.
Very strange.
In fact quite surreal.
