Berlin Cathedral

It was another beautiful day in Berlin but we felt we needed to investigate the interior of some of the magnificent buildings so this took us to 2 of the churches. We entered Berlin cathedral just as a short service was about to start,  fortunately in German and English , and so we were able to hear the splendid pipe organ being played. Like many buildings the cathedral was badly damaged during WW 2 and restoration is relatively recent.

We also looked in to the very old St Mary’s church and returned in the afternoon o hear a 20 minute organ recital on another splendid instrument.

The extra shows a scene at Museum Island where we hope to revisit tomorrow when the weather forecast is not so good .
