Pit stop for humans

On my way aboard Fidra the mighty Pan European to meet lovely bestie and Biscuit again!

First stop – well the first stop was five minutes out of the house when I was struck with the notion that I'd forgotten my glasses or some other essential thing, but all was well – was Annandale Water again. It's a nice hour and a half down the road after a slowish meander down the A702 and a quicker meander down the motorway.

I was a bit tired after not great sleep, so relaxed for 45 minutes with a big cup of hot chocolate and watched the ducks on the pond.  After some map and time checking I realised I needed to get my skates on if I was to keep to our agreed approximate 12pm meeting in Keswick.  Feeling a bit more energised I blasted down the motorway and took the route round Carlisle and west towards Cockermouth and then south where the Lake District suddenly opens up.

BikerBabe arrived only a short while later, and we spent a happy hour and more in a cafe catching up over soup and pots of tea.

After a quick shop it was a short way to our cottage amongst the trees, and the rest of the afternoon and evening flew by in conversation and more cups of tea.
