Any excuse

Having realised we need a better breadknife to make the best use of the new slicing guide, we set off this morning for Lakeland - any excuse! We like to set off on a little adventure on Monday morning, just in memory of . . . well you know!

So the main reason for going to Lakeland was to look at breadknives and there were a couple of other things we needed, but . . . there is breakfast/brunch! Gordon likes the full Lakeland breakfast, which is obviously on the Breakfast menu, whilst I just love the cheese and chive soufflé, which is on the Lunch menu. So, at 11am you can order from either menu . . . and the place is still quite quiet. Perfect. And they do great coffee too. 

We returned through the Lakes, but it soon became dull and wet, so no views to photograph . . . just my delicious soufflé.
