A view from Jeanneb

Busy morning

A grey and damp start with a bit of heavy rain but nothing like there has been further south. It was virtually stopped when we got to singing in Bingley
After we had to whizz straight off for my eye appointment at Airedale hospital ay 12.00.

In and out within the hour and all is well thankfully, the last eye drops I’ve been prescribed have kept the pressures more stable than previous prescriptions so no need to return for 6 months! Yeah! I don’t know why I was surprised to see a gentleman waiting opposite me with a guide dog.  She was lovely but looked pretty fed up, nobody likes waiting.

As we hadn’t gone straight to Guiseley shopping after singing we decided to go on to Skipton and get a coffee and a croissant before a quick M& S shop for fruit etc.
Walked down to the High Street for a blip which is often of the lovely church but it is quite well screened by trees. (The trees around the car park were showing lots of autumnal colour but didn’t really want a blip of the car park!)
These fun telephone boxes are either side of the doors into the town hall which also houses the Craven Museum. Large banners declared that the museum has been shortlisted to the top five Art Fund Museum of the year 2024. Maybe next time we should take the time to go inside after all it is free!
