An Autumn Table
I change my table with the seasons and it is time for the fall "tablescape". I bring out my Auntie's collection of Carnival Glass every year and scatter wee pumpkins about. On November 1st, the vintage ceramic turkeys make an appearance. I might do something for Halloween this year, we'll see. I've taken out the leaves to make the table smaller so none of my table cloths fit anymore but I like the bare wood. The table is over 100 years old and the wood is lovely. There is also a method to this madness. It keeps me from dropping things on the table when I come in! Henry wanted to show you the next hotel we've book for next May, Norwood Hall in Aberdeen. The mansion was built in 1881 and housed on the site of a 15th century Pitfodels Castle. It is rumored to be haunted, especially the grand staircase. Henry is quite excited about the possibility of seeing a ghost! He is pointing out the staircase in the photo in the extras. He is such an adventurer!
