As expected rain stopped play today. The organisers left it till 9.04 am to postpone even though it has rained all night and the forecast was for rain all day. I wouldn't have bothered attempting to go only I was doing pairs with a friend who was travelling an hour and a half to get there so she was on the road at 7.45 and nearly there when the call was made. Must have been many others there or on the way too as it was meant to start at 10 and you obviously need to get there early enough to get ready and warmed up. Felt so bad for my friend who was going to come and hack out but as the weather was so bad decided to just head home. Spent the day doing jobs then emergency dash to get Eva some wellies. Mike did a fab roast dinner- very welcome after doing the horses this afternoon in this!
