Part of today spent in Minor Injuries with my father-in-law, who didn't tell us he'd fallen while out walking last Tuesday, and his thumb was still swollen, bruised, and couldn't be bent. He was wearing a leather glove (?) believeing that it would keep his hand warm and help it heal...

Anyway, thankfully no 'obvious' break (though x-ray sent off to be assessed further), but a possible chip off the bone floating about.
