AUTUMNAL EQUINOX

My neighbor from Hawaii has completely
renovated her front garden, removing all the grass & replacing it with colorful plants, plus this wonderful Roadrunner from a trip to Arizona. Her garden has turned out beautifully, & the Hummingbirds are
already enjoying it.

Today is the AUTUMNAL EQUINOX, or
the astronomical start of Fall in the
Northern Hemisphere, when we have 12 hours of daylight & 12 hours of night, just today. It is halfway between the Summer Solstice & Winter Solstice.

From now on, we will continue to lose
2 minutes 6 seconds of daylight per day here in Southern California. That will continue until the Winter Solstice, when
we will start slowly gaining daylight, again.

This is different from the Meteorological Fall, but that is for another day….
