Solace Day 7 - Special Things
We made today a tourism day. Kat missed being able to use her Trentham Gardens ticket last year due to very small print on their website and Kanyl hadn't been here for many years.
You can't visit Trentham without being amazed by the fairies, created by Robin Wight so I just had to use one as my blip. Other delicate winged creatures and other special things caught my eye today.
Extras:
I was delighted to get shots of dragonflies, maybe a darter and a hawker.
There was a notice beside a fountain (not in use) bowl saying it contained young smooth newts, so good to get a chance to see these.
Finally, the wonderful Kat, relaxing on the fountain wall. She has steered the boat for two weeks, planned the meals and cooked for us this week, plus supporting and encouraging me through my frailty at the start of the week. It has been lovely having her with us!
We ended the evening with a meal at The Plume of Feathers, Barlaston, one of Neil Morrissey's pubs. The best place to eat anywhere.
