Morris and Molly the Maine Coons
Morris and Molly, our two Maine Coon cats are brother and sister. Not from the same litter mind you...there are about twelve months between them in age.
They spend a lot of time together, sleeping in the same room with their beds side by side on the sofa.
We gave up on having them in our bedroom. Molly is OK and does settle eventually, although she is getting very heavy on the bed.
But Morris is a climber and great jumper. He springs up onto the scotch chest and from there onto the top of the old style TV set. There he sits on top of it, king of all he surveys...in the middle of the night. It is very unsettling. Yet if we try to separate them then one or the other meows pathetically begging to be re-united with its sibling.
They love the fence on the south-east boundary...the cold side of the garden here in NZ. They spent ages sitting up there today. Molly was falling asleep whilst perched on it. Most of the time they enjoy sitting there trying to hypnotize the starlings in the nearby trees. Or else they sit and pull faces at the neighbours' big ginger cat. He is very elderly and enjoys a peaceful life basking in the winter sun.
As I have said before...... I am going to come back as a cat....
