Trixie's Adventures

'Slippy the seal'

First thing this morning, I only went for a little toileting walk in the field, because it was pouring with rain. However, as Ann was working this afternoon, that meant that whatever the weather, we had to go for a long walk after breakfast. Fortunately by the time we'd had our breakfast the rain had stopped so off we went for a decent length walk.

When we were passing Porthgwidden Beach just look who we saw.................. 'Slippy the seal'. He (or she) was bobbing about in the sea for ages. Actually, he/she bobs about there quite a lot. When Ann swims first thing in the morning she often sees him/her. We watched him for a while and then we continued on our way.

…............And apart from three plays in the field, that's been our day. Ann worked 1-6pm and I had snooze time. She was busy at work, so now she's tired and its raining again. Our weather app is telling us that it's going to rain until next Saturday. Booohooo.

Oh and if anyone is interested...................... we're on day 6 of no wifi. Not that 'TalkTalk' would agree. According to them, the 'Senior Management Team' will be contacting us within 3 working days.

Mmmmmmm................... the wifi stopped working last Tuesday evening but Ann couldn't contact them until 9am on Wednesday morning, and even though she phoned them first thing and they admitted there was a fault which would be rectified within three working days............... the three working days didn't start until Thursday. Weekends don't count, so apparently it's day 3 tomorrow??!! Ann is working 9.30-2.30 tomorrow and she says if they've not contacted her by the time she gets home, she'll be phoning them again and having a right old rant before she takes me out for my walk. It's sooo infuriating................. How does anyone exist without wifi these days?

Anyway on a positive note, this evening our very lovely neighbour, Amy, has said that we can connect to hers. Yay!

..................And to think that when Ann was a child, she didn't even live in a house with a phone until she was 7 years old. The world has changed soooo much in the last 50/60 years.
