Little Mushrooms

We had a grand afternoon yesterday with the children and grandchildren, lunch at WagaMama and then the cinema for Lord Of The Rings..

The running time of four and a half hours includes over 20 minutes of credits at the end so the film was just about four hours - and I survived without a break :-)

This morning I went out in search of some fungi - thought it was about time for some to start appearing in the woods. Well I was in luck - I found a few little ones like this colony growing on the side of a mossy log.

I took my mini tripod for the camera and a small LED panel on another small tripod - so I was able to light and steady the shot without using flash!

I did find some other, bigger, mushrooms - some were well eaten and some had been kicked over :-(
