After the rain
The weather forecast wasn't great so on Monday we packed the tent in the dry and cycled home. The return journey was shorter as we deliberately diverted to Combourg to take the train home for the final leg. That meant about half back in the old route, and half on smaller departmental roads. Other than the insane diversion in town because of the funfair the navigation was fine. Google and Garmin both suggested stupid connections from the bike path to the road which we ignored, but the road section was probably more interesting that the cycle route. The road was easy navigation and no stopping every few hundred metres for a junction, smooth new tarmac and it had some ups and downs, plus there was a view.
We did encounter some rain on the way and did get wet, but summer rain isn't too bad, and you don't get hypothermia from it in no time. It was wet yesterday, and as you can see from this picture it's wet again. I didn't have much planned for my holiday's so a bit of rain isn't the end of the world, it just means the dog and I get wet feet on our walk around the hippodrome from the rather soggy grass.
Back blip.
