Autumn Garden

Having treated my macro lens to a tripod collar, I took it on a stroll round the garden to try it out.

My first spot was a ginormous big spider sitting in the centre of her web basking in the afternoon sun (extra). This one was hand held as there was no way of getting a tripod in amongst the vegetation.

Some rather bedraggled bees were flitting around the last of the runner bean flowers (a very disappointing year), but at last a truly macro subject to play with ... a snail nestled among some fallen leaves. The setup on a mini tripod worked a treat, and I had never spotted the patterns, looking like a floral border, on the shell before. Look large to check them out.

All in all a successful session. Looking forward to Autumn in anger and fungi forages!
