Shining Sail

Well, I was able to get a sunset photo this evening but this photo proved more interesting to me. We drove to Historic Fish town in Leland and enjoyed dining outside for a change since it has finally cooled off. After dinner we strolled the harbor and looked at sailboats docked there on their way back from the Chicago to Mackinaw race. We wanted to see the sun set without 'obstruction' so we drove to Good Harbor Beach where the sky had changed dramatically. Still the sunset shots did not make the cut.

I had fun taking photos this evening. I'm learning as a blip newbie that part of the fun is 1) choosing just one on a day when I've had time to enjoy this favorite activity of mine (unlike yesterday) and 2) seeing what others have chosen.

I must admit I'm a tad intimidated by what I see in other's photographs, however; it allows me to dream of a day when I will have more opportunities to learn techniques - especially when using my 'good' camera.
