Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Today I got the long awaited invite to arrange physiotherapy for my sore shoulder/arm - Whoopee! Mind you, it's just to ring and make an appointment, which might not be immediate... But it's progress. I think the physio will help, as the pills and now the patches are not doing much good - though it's not every night that I get woken up by the pain.

Also got sent luggage tags by the travel agent - that cruise is getting nearer!

Archie and I had a dampish walk out in the morning, and then I spent quite a long time trying to book my next winter flu and Covid jags. I had to choose a new password. Then I had to verify my email. Then verify my phone number. Each time I had to wait for a code, and that took ages, so I'd press the SEND button again, which annulled the code that then arrived... But I got there in the end.

JR took Archie out in the afternoon, after having made one of her special fruity/nutty/bready/cakey treats.

Still trying to perfect my air fryer chips. I used a silicone liner tonight. Not good. Will keep trying.

We finished off the Prince Andrew Newsnight series - excellent, though I didn't like Ruth Wilson's forced ‘Emily Maitlis’ deep voice. And now there's a new programme starting with Sam Neil in it, so it must be good!

This wee beauty was in a weed-filled gutter. That’s Archie’s paw nearly stomping on it.
