Reading, scan & cars
Terry had his MRI scan this morning and I don't know when we'll hear how it went. Hope it's fine.
I called in at Chapelhouse to look at cars as I want to change mine. Terry wants to change his too. I was looking at 2022 reg and as usual, the salesman asked me about a new car and I always knock this back but today's offer was very good so I went home to think about it over lunch. Ran it by Terry and he thought it a good deal too. We went back this afternoon and I signed up for a new Suzuki Ignis SZ T, black (pity there were no orange ones as I have grown to love the orange car but the black ones are very nice). I saw a new Suzuki in the showroom which was a horrible colour - the young man (staff) nearby said he thought it was really nice but to me it was the colour of pus! Being a retired nurse I've seen a lot of pus and that colour brought many memories back lol.
Terry had a look at Suzuki Vitaras and MGs. He ended up buying a lovely MG (used but looks almost new).
While there we bumped into relatives, also looking to buy a car.
Terry gets his car Friday and I get mine on the 30th.
Not done a lot otherwise as the day rapidly disappeared. It was grey this morning but the sun was out soon after lunch but now tonight it's raining.
The book is poo. It started off very promisingly and then I wasn't keen on how it was going but persevered a bit longer - only to find I was bored to tears so on page 43 I'd had more than enough and sacked it. I have lots more and opted for one set in the Scillies, a place I was fortunate to have a holiday at as a child and I've never forgotten the Scillies. Would like to go back with Terry but it's a lot of faffing about! No direct route ie no flights from up here.
