Was just saying the other day that I haven’t seen a wheatear this year, when this one hopped on a rock in front of us this morning. No doubt on it’s long journey to Central Africa, where it will winter, some journey for such a wee thing.Has a noticeable white rump when in flight and used to be known as a white a..e, but Victorians thought it rude and changed it, PC even back then.
