1985: George Clooney makes Facts Of Life debut
Quote Of The Day
"After doing One Fine Day and playing a pediatrician on E.R., I'll never have kids. I'm going to have a vasectomy."
(George Clooney)
All I can say is, "Well, George, you are missing out!"
I thoroughly enjoyed the first day of the professional development course. Lots of interesting discussions with fellow teachers about behaviour management and restorative practices. By an incredible coincidence, I sat at a table with this lady, Jane, with whom I undertook a ten week on-line training programme last year. An absolutely delightful lady, and so nice to meet her face-to-face. It's a small world, as they say.
After returning to the hotel my colleagues and I went to a local karaoke parlour for a couple of hours. I love karaoke! It was so much fun, and I loved belting out a couple of Depeche Mode songs (Walking In My Shoes and Higher Love ), a few Bowie songs (Starman, Space Oddity and China Girl ), Karma Chameleon and The Tide Is High. I also dueted on Folsom Prison Blues, Ring Of Fire and Sympathy For The Devil.
Higher Love - Gahan and Bowie; thanks for being baritones.
