Meet up at Roanhead
A busy but happy day.
A drive up to Lindale to the vets for Fletchs check up. Vet doesnt think he needs more anti biotics but still on the anti itch tablets but half the dose. He still needs regular bathing with the Malaseb.. and the 'doughnut' is on standby.
We stopped at Cafe Ambio on the way back as M fancied one of their amazing scones.
I declined as I knew I'd be eating early.
Back home for a couple of hours then drove down to The Dunes Hotel with Fletch to meet Eileen and her 3 photography friends.
Theyd had an Experience day at the Wildlife park and as they were so close she asked if we could meet up for a quick meal before finding a venue to take sunset photos.
Usually when you want people to see the best of our area it is wet and windy but today was perfect with no wind and plenty of sunshine.
Weve chatted a lot on Facebook but never met and it was nice to finally meet face to face. The conversation flowed .
It was ten to 7 when I suggested wed better move if we wanted to catch the sun as sunset was 7 25.
I took them to the nearest beach which was a mile down a narrow road. Luckily only a couple of cars passed us. There were several cars in the car park but the beach is long and wide so we hardly saw a soul.
The sun is still north enough to be seen sinking into the sea.. and my friends were delighted with the views and had tripods assembled and cameras clicking very quickly.
The tide was out but there were lots of pools reflecting the light.
I didnt have my tripod, but I quite like this abstract effect
Roanhead is a very special place. Stunningly beautiful and unspoilt.
At present we are trying very hard to prevent developers building a holiday park as it would ruin the ecosystem as well as destroy the peaceful environment.
