The Turk's Caps Are Blooming Again
Knowing I cannot grow things because I have the Black Thumb Of Death, the birds or squirrels kindly dropped the Turk's Cap seeds under the tree that used to spread its branches over our back yard. The tree gradually succumbed to some sort of disease, but we left it up because the birds and squirrels found it useful for keeping an eye on the deck rail buffet and water pan. The branches fell off and the trunk finally broke off----thankfully, nothing fell on our house. but I was afraid that I would not see the Turk's Caps again----until today. My obliging husband helped me make my way close enough to the flowers to get the shots I wanted. I liked the main shot, because it shows several different stages in the life of the flower and I liked the one I put into the extras because it showed the full bloom of the flower. Thanks to Biker Bear for hosting.....
