I've never seen so much dust. Brick dust, cement dust, sand, insulation bits........
As sort of expected with our luck, or lack thereof the work is being halted because of yet more numpties not communicating. In a conversation with one of the brickies, he dropped into the convo they were not coming till Thursday to do the roof and windows and doors! This came about because I said to the guy .......er we are likely to get water in the slight gap between the bricks and the plastic roof (old one) where the flashing has been taken out to add more bricks for roof pitch. He just calmly said "Yeah probably"!!! So are you going to cover it up??? I said
Well I don't know! I took the roll of plastic sheeting back to WG yesterday. So I said I wanted it covered and he phoned WG and asked for them to bring him some, to which they answered "we haven't got anyone that can bring it to you today"  so he then jumped in his truck and drove back to warwick to get it. While he was out I phoned the company to say what the hell was going on with the timeline!!! The basic reason is, as always MONEY. They don't give the fitters enough time to complete a job and so inevitably the job gets extended and now its made our start date be put back. They didn't feel it necessary to tell us as we have taken holiday for next week.  To cut a long and torturous story slightly shorter Garri has changed his holiday and I cannot as I have to book at least six months in advance to get time off sorted. So Ill be off next week and going to PaulaK's. I also took thursday off this week just gone as I can not sleep at the moment.

Torrential rain and storms are coming and I don't hold out much hope of plastic sheeting keeping the rain out!

Ill be very glad to get shot of this year.
