Tewkesbury Abbey

A long journey back to Yorkshire as our little sojourn to South Wales came to an end. The coach stopped a couple of times for refreshments with a lunch stop at Tewkesbury Abbey. The group was given a guided tour of the interior. Main shows The Quire and The High Altar. First extra is the Denny Windows which were designed and made by Tom Denny in 2002 to mark the 900th anniversary of the Benedictines coming to Tewkesbury. Second extra is the ceiling above the Quire which maintains the mediaeval colour scheme.
