Bridges on the Clyde
Aa part of the Glasgow Doors Open Days I went on a walk led by two civil engineers detailing the construction of twelve of the bridges on the river. We started at the St Andrew's Suspension Bridge and ended up at the Kingston Bridge. A very interesting walk based on the ICE Engineering Trail.
A leaflet detailing sixteen crossings of the river is downloadable here. It will need to be updated to include the newly opened Govan/Partick Bridge and the soon to be opened Renfrew/Yoker Bridge.
More photos from the walk here.
No sunshine today though.
Met fellow blipper esiuol while she was on another walk.
