Birthdays

We had an impromptu birthday celebration today. Sana (on the left) turned 24, and Arwa (newbie on the right has her birthday on Friday). Sana ordered in a selection of sweet and savoury croissants. It turns out that they had been in college together, studying different subjects though. Now they work together!

After yesterday's blip and comment about red-roof taxis, I was so pleased in the morning when a yellow taxi stopped for me. They're the best/cleanest and are always my preference. Sadly, there aren't as many of them on the road.

It was great to finish work and have another, quiet evening. The big news of the day was when I finally checked my personal email and learned that we had been granted a year's extension on the pitch licence for the lodge. Phew. That gives us some breathing space to look at alternatives. A lot of the evening was spent doing personal admin.
