Lacs de Chéserys …

… always a spectacular mountain balcony walk from the Col de Montets to Lac Blanc in extra, and down to the Flegère télécabine. The view of the Mont Blanc Range across the valley is spectacular but sad. The second extra particularly, shows the deep valley of the Mer de Glace which is no longer a glacier near Montenvers. I found it hard work today and was very glad of Francoise’ company. It is one of my “pilgrimage routes” to remember many people with whom I used to climb these peaks 40 - 50 years ago.
