After a couple of weeks, I still await a need to wear the long-sleeved top I bought to replace the moth-eaten and beholèd one I wore for several winters and lost in a shop one day earlier in this year when it turned out to not be cold after all. After several days of backing stuff up from the old laptop's HDD I now have sufficient things installed to be able to start using it to process photos, though will need to be much more assiduous about shifting things off it as there's a lot less space.
