Funny Looks

It's been another packed day today. Just back home from work and getting ready to cut the grass when my pager goes off and away I go down the hill on my bike.
A relatively short shout and "home in time for tea and cake" - well that was the idea but it turned into being home in time to still cut the grass.
Anyway, pictured is the reason for some funny looks off people usually accompanied by comments like "why the hell would you want a singlespeed bike round here?" or "where's the gears gone?". When trying (and failing) to get back up the hill again I start to wonder myself too.
