Hoverfly

A cool and overcast day..the gloom has hardly lifted and it started to rain mid afternoon. Fortunately it stayed dry while I was out.

I found a little patch of flowers (scabious I believe ) which was busy with hoverflies and bees so I stopped to try some shots. Actually took loads of frames…but as there was a gentle breeze the subjects were moving around quite a bit, so had to whittle them down a lot. I got a couple of useable shots..this one of a hoverfly, I like the way it appears to be hanging on to one of the stamens. Added an extra shot of a bee. I think that the flower may actually be the same one!!
