Adelaide Streetlife

Today we visited the very good Museum Of South Australia,  just a few minutes'walk from our hotel. There was an excellent exhibition of Australian Wildlife Photography, as well as an extensive  permanent collection of natural history and geology. We learned about Professor Douglas  Mawson's explorations of Antarctica, and his research into pre trilobite fossils. We saw a very rare  opalised  fossil of a dinosaur. There were also meteorites, which had come to earth in Australia, on display.
Then we visited the neighbouring  Art Gallery of South Australia ( see extra) crammed full of all kinds of arts and crafts from  around the world.
Exhausted from all that culture, we went in search of treats at Haighs chocolate shop in the main Rundle Shopping Mall, where we found three little pigs had also gone to market! Here is one of them.
