Dog Days and Life

Hot Hoss...

I pass these chaps on my most used running route. Quite a lot of shade and mostly away from the road....normally I end up sniffing up flies but I think it's even too warm for them. This is their biggest bit of shade, next to what has been a puddle the size of a lake for a year. this is now a mud bath on it's way to a dust bath.

Quite amazed that I've adapted to running in the heat...I'm not breaking any records but I'm falling in a heap either....I am however still turning purple and losing half my body weight in sweat!

Bathed a very pregnant lab for a friend tonight. Bless her, she's the size of a house...bet she's not enjoying the heat. Wonder how many are in there? Dad is a fox red and she is black...should be lovely puppies.

'To correct a natural indifference I was placed half-way between misery and the sun. Misery kept me from believing that all was well under the sun, and the sun taught me that history wasn't everything'.
