A bit further along on my way to work I pass Cramond Island linked to the sea front by a causeway that becomes fully submerged at high tide - as many a unsuspecting tourist can testify. Not surpring then that South Queensferry lifeboat is the busiest inshore lifeboat in Scotland - aroun 70 incidents per year saving many lives.
