Charming

Three time’s a charm, they say • For two summers I’ve tried growing cardinal vine, unsuccessfully, for the hummingbirds. This summer was different! Seeds sprouted and the vine grew and grew, taller and taller, but no flowers. Then, a bud suddenly appeared last week. One lone bud, and here it is, opened and beautiful! Unfortunately there’s not a hummer in sight but that doesn’t mean we can’t marvel its brilliant redness :)) • MrsP and I enjoyed breakfast at the diner, then picked up a pair of glasses for me for driving. Before heading home we stopped by our favorite garden store for pumpkins and mums! The mums are already potted and watered • Peace & Love
