Pelican of London
I would have liked to see this vessel under full sail, square rigged too, but it was motoring from a pontoon in the River Plym crossing in front of the Royal Citadel and Plymouth Hoe to a berth in the more sheltered Millbay Docks. An interesting ship built in the late 1940's used as an Arctic trawler, then coastal trader until 1995 and now fully refitted as a sail training vessel.
At last a spell of settled Summer weather, and even the strong breeze felt warm, but with the Autumn Equinox just round the corner I suspect it's time for a change.
