Beating the bounds

Was up early walking the hound just after 6am.  Street lights were on and it was still somewhat dark.  It was fairly quiet too.

The reason for the early start was to allow enough time to walk and wait a while before feeding the hound before and then taking my bike at 8am for a service.

I arrived at the bike shop at 8am.  The earlier it's handed over the earlier I can collect it.

I walked home which took me 45 minutes.  Cycling the distance takes a third of that time. 

On my walk home noticed these dates on the wall of a house.  They are marks of beating the bounds of the boundaries of the Parish of Holy Trinity, hence the initials.  

Back home made a pasta sauce for tonight  and tomorrow's dinner.   

Caught the bus to town to pick up the bike.  It had a new chain and gear sprocket and runs like new.   I purchased my bike from this shop and the service has been excellent every time.

After lunch caught some vitamin D in the garden.

The early start has caught up with me.
