River of Flowers

Thursday: Full Moon …

… setting this morning as the sun was rising over the sea.

We were both up early, MrD decided he was taking his electric bike to Bangor then riding up to Llyn Ogwen as he’d done a few months ago. For today’s “postcard” see photos in EXTRAS …

I had lots of gardening jobs to do - the first and most important was to chop down all the tomato plants in the greenhouse, leaving just a couple which have baby tomatoes on them, along with the 3 Tumbling Tom bush tomatoes.

Tubs of compost from the discarded plants were emptied onto large trays and dried in the sunshine, to be used again.

I still have 3 wallflower plants - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3056715217028254492 - they’ve been in a bucket of water for a few days, I planted them opposite our living room window and gave them a mulch of leaf mould and compost, and a good soaking.

Discovered a surviving Runner Bean where the “perennial” beans used to be, which is a miracle when this summer’s weather has been so poor - must remember to put some canes up asap!

With all the excitement of last few weeks I’ve forgotten to post my seeds for the Seed Swap - MUST do this tomorrow!!
